tom

aka Poppy.
She was my best friend for an amazing 16 years! I had her as a Guide Dog puppy and looked after her until she was old enough to start training. She failed.
You can see her paws stick outwards slightly when she sits. Grounds for never becoming a Guide dog apparently. I think she knew that and just wanted to come home with me, so they let us keep her.
I became a photographer just after that and she used to come with me everywhere, even Weddings. Best assistant ever.
You don’t realise the hole they leave until they’re gone, so I decided to open a pet photo studio to capture the importance and wonder of animals (and to play with them of course).
Pops. She is missed everyday.

No fancy equipment to break. No hot lights or dangerous cables. Designed for any animal to run free and be themselves.
I stripped everything out and made it more playroom than photo studio. One light, one camera, one lens.
I moved the electrical sockets up high, covered the mirrors, and blocked any gaps. Birds can fly, cats can climb, dogs can run.
Not just for cats and dogs, there are also studio boxes for smaller pets. Birds, reptiles, insects, snakes, whatever!
(for extra small pets such as insects etc please provide at least 48 hours notice so i can hire the correct equipment.)
2 minute walk from Forest Hill train station. Parking available.
Your pet will love their pops session. Packed with fun and treats! First, we’ll meet and play. When they see me as a friend then the capturing can begin.
We can shoot in a particular style, change the background colour to match your decor, recreate old photos, or photoshop something new. Or, you can leave me to capture them naturally so the world can see them as you do.
You will receive your images in a digital gallery that you can view online, share with friends, or download.
It’s all possible at pops!

1 hour
An ideal session that allows your pet to acclimatise to the studio. It’s also a chance for me to connect with them and allow their personality to shine through. Perfect for first-timers, or if you just want to treat them to a nice day out.

30 minutes
pop in and say “cheese”. Are they fresh from the groomers and you want to capture them on your way home? Maybe you want to capture them regularly as you watch them grow? A quick pop-in is great for pets that are familar with the studio.

Thank you for visting.

Hope to see you soon.
